Life & Hobbies

I grew up in Ecuador and my family and I moved to the United States when I was 15 years old. My father was a professional soccer player in Ecuador and my mother was a dentist who owned a dental clinic. As a young kid, I played soccer in many soccer leagues. In the States, I graduated from USF in Biomedical Science and had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua with an organization called the Global Dental Brigade to provide dental care to underserved communities. Also, I joined the Dental Foundation Sonrisa Feliz to provide dental services to underserved people in Ecuador. I had the privilege of being part of the Latino Scholarship at USF for 2 years. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in May 2020. Following my footsteps, my youngest brother is currently at UF Dental School.

Hobbies provide a break and allow me to relax and have fun. Since I was a kid, my main sport was soccer which I still love doing as a hobby. Also, I enjoy going to the gym very early in the morning before going to work. I enjoy cooking especially typical Ecuadorian dishes.
